FOCUS will support methods for improved exploitation of FoF project results from our five participating FoF clusters. Creating clusters of FoF project activities, according to their objectives and addressed themes, is an effective way to enhance the impact of FoF projects.

The five participating clusters in FOCUS will share experiences and best-practices to stimulate the take-up of project results and investigate how to best exploit synergies. Not only within these participating clusters now but foremost to define an approach that can also work for future clusters. The clusters within FOCUS are: Zero Defect Manufacturing (4ZDM), Clean Factories, Robotics, High Precision Manufacturing (High Micro) and Maintenance and Support; a diverse ‘community’ but representative for the European manufacturing industry, enabling us to meet our objectives.

Co-FACTOR aims at speeding-up the industrial up-take of results of the Factories-of-the-Future (FoF) projects I-Ramp3, ReBorn, SelSus, T-Rex, INTEFIX and Power-OM, whose common topic centers around “smart components”. This comprises among other devices with innovative capabilities, machines with built-in intelligence, computer assisted and advanced manufacturing technologies.
It proposes a set of measures spanning from technology assessment, match making among providers and end-user, propelling last-mile exploitation efforts by innovation management and funding outlook, expert workshops, link to research community and roadmapping to outline future R&D&I needs.

EFFECTIVE is a Coordination and Support Action aimed at fostering and enhancing the active clustering  of  activities and results of FoF Projects in order to maximise their exploitation.
EFFECTIVE adopts a market- and business-driven approach to devise a clustering model and to develop both a solid framework and networks and alliances t owards industrial exploitation. It addresses six broad technology domains (Additive processes, Advanced robotics, Digital/virtual tools for sustainability, ICT for value chain, Safe human-machine interaction and training, Design and customisation) in four industrial application areas of growing technology intensity (Consumer goods, Production systems, Machinery, Medical devices).
